Day One: .... (Lima) / Iquitos

Amazon Rainforest Lodge
- Our Guide collects you from the airport or your hotel in our private bus.
- You will be accompanied by a permanent English speaking guide during the whole
trip.
- City tour of the principal attractions of Iquitos: The Main Square, the
Catholic Cathedral, The cast Iron House built by Eiffel.
- We board our speedboat for the trip up the Nanay and Momon rivers.
- Visit the Bora Indigenous Tribe
- Visit to the Serpentarium to see a collection of snakes and other exotic
animals.
- Upon arrival at the Lodge we are warmly greeted with a welcome drink made of
local tropical fruits.
- Canoe ride
Day Two:
Amazon Rainforest Lodge
- (Optional) We rise at the crack of dawn, around 5:30 am, for an hour long
canoe ride upriver to enjoy the great variety of bird life.
- Hike through the jungle to explore the mysteries of the rainforest. Here our
guide will explain the different species of medicinal plants which grow there
and other plant, insect, bird, butterfly and animal species.
- Visit the Jibaro Indigenous Tribe.
- Visit small village of Gen Gen and Centro Fuerte to learn their customs
and habits
- Visit the "Chullachaki" mini-zoo
- Visit the botanic garden
- Our guide fascinates us with the tales of the jungle.
Day Three:
Amazon Rainforest Lodge
- Taking a hike to the Trapiche where you will taste delicious sugarcane
liquor.
- Fishing to harvest the abundant variety of fish in the river.
- (evening) We have a musical jungle jam session using a variety of local
acoustic instruments.
Day Four:
Amazon Rainforest Lodge /
Iquitos / (Lima) .....
- Visit to the Yagua Indigenous Tribe.
- Visit to Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm (optional, additional charge of US $ 5.00
per person entrance fee).
- We head back to the city of Iquitos.
- Observation of the confluence of Nanay and Momon River
- Tour to Amazon and Itaya rivers
- Arrival to Iquitos and visit the Belen
neighborhood and Quistococha zoo
- Transfer to the Iquitos airport

Note: Due to the ever-changing nature of the rainforest, day-by-day
activities may vary due to weather, trail or river conditions.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU TO THE JUNGLE:
Please ask the visitors to bring the following items with them on their trip
to the rainforest:
- Insect repellant
- Good walking shoes that cover the heals (to avoid twisting your ankle)
- Large sun hat
- Sunglasses
- Sun cream
- Camera with plenty of film and batteries
- Flashlight / torch to use at nighttime (plus spare batteries)
- Lightweight raincoat with rainproof hat
- Umbrella in case of rain
- A good book to read, plenty of magazines (to ready while you relax)
- Pair of Binoculars
- Water flask (fresh drinking water for jungle treks)
- Swimming costume (for swimming in our large pool or in the river)
- The native Indian tribes in the area are very poor and love to receive gifts
of used clothing, old toys or anything at all that the tourist does not need and
wishes to donate. Also, any items for children such as paper, pencils and pens
are very gratefully received
- (For couples) Bring protection (there are no drugstore nearby!!)
