Archaeological Places - Tarma

Tarmatambo
Pre-Inca remain, organized in big squares, buildings and aqueducts. The valley administration see was located here. Located at 6.5 km. (4 miles) from Tarma.

Ancashmarca
Pre-Inca remain. It is a well preserved sanctuary. Located at short distance from the way that joined Cusco and Cajamarca.  Huachoy is also located near, it has many prehistoric paintings.

The actual inhabitants, are dedicated to the trout fish breeding, tree nurseries and lamb breeding. They use a social cooperative administration, inherited from the Inca.

Yanamarca (quechua voice: black town)
Pre-Inca remain of the Chanca culture. Megalithic construction, located on the summit of a mountain. Outstanding three story buildings.
