How to visit Paracas?

Normally tourist busses depart from Lima and travel about 152 miles (245 km). The trip is carried out through the South Pan-American Highway until the deviation to Pisco - Paracas.

The organized tourist circuit includes a guided tour by the National Reserve of Paracas, the spa of Paracas and a ride on boat or yacht to the Ballestas Islands and making possible to observe "El Cadelabro".

Air traffic is limited to flights in small planes; regular flights of commercial airlines do not exist.

The companies of land transportation cover the routes Lima Pisco and Ica Pisco. Paracas is located at 9.3 miles (15 km) south of Pisco.

This tour can also be combined with the visit to the Nazca lines and the city of Ica due to the proximity that exists with these destinations.

 

Communications

Paracas has all the modern means of communication in telephony, mail, television, cable television, and fax. These services are usually given by the hotels, and in some public places in the town of Pisco.
