Sol & Luna is located 1 km from the town of Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of
the Incas, a perfect place to start your visit to Peru. The Valley is a prime
cultural and adventure destination in South America.
It is home to a number of important Inca ruins including Pisac, Ollantaytambo,
Maras and Moray and a convenient departure point for the fabled Machu Picchu,
with trains leaving daily from nearby Urubamba and Ollantaytambo stations.
The Valley is at a lower elevation than Cusco, about an hour away by car, which
makes for a gentler acclimatization to the altitude. The Valley has a mild
climate within a dramatic setting of mountains, valleys and meadows, well-suited
for outdoor activities such as horseback riding with Peruvian Paso Horses,
mountain biking, rafting, paragliding, walking and trekking. All activities are
offered by Sol & Luna´s Activity Center - Viento Sur.
Our hotel is enclosed in a red-walled courtyard surrounded by tall eucalyptus
trees and green mountains. We have 28 Bungalows: 23 doubles, 3 family bungalows
and 2 suites.
We also have a full-size, hard surface outdoor tennis court, where you can play
under the Andean sun. Our pool faces the restaurant and is surrounded by cypress
trees and comfortable deck chairs, a perfect place to relax after a game of

Ranch Wayra
Our Ranch features a large picnic - style seating area with benches, tables, and
a brick oven, a wide expanse of green lawn edged with trees, and stables and
corrals for the famous Peruvian Paso horses. We named the Ranch, Wayra or "wind"
to honor this distinctive horse, whose unique “paso llano” gait makes it one of
the smoothest riding horses in the world. The Ranch offers exciting horseback
adventures all over the Sacred Valley and also hosts special cultural and
culinary adventures such as Textile Demonstrations, Live Music, Cooking
Demonstrations, Pizza Nights, Pachamanca, Barbecue, and Theater Presentations.
