Train tickets in Vistadome and
Backpacker Class
This service to the ancient ruins at
Machu Picchu offers a spectacular journey in the Andes region.
The journey begins in Poroy Train Station in Cuzco
The train then descends from the highest point into the
Sacred Valley and
the foothills of the Andes. Before reaching Machu Picchu, the train travels
along the Urubamba River, with awe-inspiring views of the dramatic canyon.
Travellers can choose to travel on either the Vistadome or Backpacker train. The
spectacular carriages of the Vistadome have panoramic windows offering
unsurpassed scenic views and photographic opportunities. Created for passengers
seeking comfort and security without all the frills, the Backpacker carriages
offer travellers a true Peruvian experience.
Vistadome and Backpacker services : Daily departure and arrive from Poroy
Station (20 minutes away from Cuzco City).
Passengers have to be at the train station 30 minutes before departure.
E-Tickets:
You have to be at the train station half an hour before departure, bring your
passports and 2 copies of the e-tickets that we must send you (one is for the
counter and the other one is your boarding pass) show your passports and board
the train.
Terms & Conditions:
- Passengers can only board the train showing the original train ticket
or e-ticket and passports
- Any cancelation made by passengers more than 30 days before the journey
must be subject to a penalty of 10% of total price plus US$ 25.00
- Any cancelation made by passenger within 30 days before the journey, must
be subject to a penalty of the total amount paid.
- Passengers who don't send cancelation or don't check in the date of
their journey must loose their tickets.
- Change of dates can be made maximum 24 hours before the journey, but it
has to be made directly by the passenger, showing their original document
and the train ticket. The new date is subject to availability of the
following 7 days . The penalty is 10% of the total price and has to be paid
directly to PeruRail office in Cuzco city (this receipt has to be shown with
the ticket when boarding. Tickets can be change only once.
