Day 1: .... / Lima
- Reception and transfer to the selected hotel.
- Accommodation.
Day 2: Lima / Cuzco (B)
- Transfer hotel / airport in Lima.
- Upon your arrival into Cuzco our staff will meet and transfer you to the
hotel, you can enjoy a cup of mate de coca to assist in the acclimation.
- In the afternoon our staff will transfer you by bus for a City tour of
Cuzco. This tour includes: The Main Square, La Cathedral,
Koricancha and the
Archaeological Park
of Sacsayhuaman, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca
Pucara and Tambomachay.
- We return to the hotel.
- Accommodation.
Day 3: Cuzco (Free Day) (B)
- You can enjoy the day for shopping or visit some museums.
- Accommodation.
Day 4 (to Day 7): Inca Trail (B-L-D)
- A mid morning you will be met by our guide and transferred by bus to the
starting point at kilometer 82 in Chillca.
- After a short hike you will enter into the National Park at Llactapata
where you will be registered and the porters will be adjusted for the proper
weights of all the equipment.
- Today you will get your first taste of the environment with all of
diversity of plants, then into Huayllabamba which leads into the Amazon Basin.
- Camp.
Day 5: Inca Trail (Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayo) (B-L-D)
- Today the first part of the trek take us to the Inca Hamlet of
Huayllabamba, after that the most difficult part climb of this Inca Trail is
the Warmihuañusca pass (13,776 ft.) this point is the highest part of the trip.
- After a brief moment to catch your breath and take some fabulous photos
with your heads in the clouds you will descend in to an area known as the
orchid zone.
- Continue towards the Inca outpost of Pacasmayo.
- Camp.
Day 6: Inca Trail (Pacaymayo - Puya Patamarka - Wiñay Wayna) (B-L-D)
- Today you will continue to climbing a series of Inca steps and proceed
towards the ruins of Runkurakay (12,172 ft)
- As we descend into the rainforest you will notice a change in the
vegetation. Our hike then leads us to the archaeological site of Sayaqmarka
and through an Inca tunnel opening at Phuyupatamarca (12,000 ft)
- A rapid descent takes you through the clouds forest where a variety of
flowers and tropical vegetation, mosses and tree ferns escort you to the
magical ruins of Wiñay Wayna.
- Camp.
Day 7: Inca Trail ( Wiñay Huayna -
Machu Picchu) / Cuzco (B)
- After an early breakfast, in the anticipation of continuing on the trail
your hearts may begin to pound from the excitement that awaits your every
steps and breath as you approach the fabled citadel.
- Then you arrive to the “Inti Punku” The Gate of the Sun, here you will get
your first magnificent views of the forgotten city of Machu Picchu.
- Afterward you will precede transfer by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes
and take the train for returning to Cuzco.
- Transfer to the Hotel.
- Accommodation.
Day 8: Cuzco (B-D)
- Free day and you can relax in town.
- Accommodation.
Day 9: Cuzco / ..... (Lima) (B)
- Today our staff will meet and transfer you to the airport for your
departing flight out.
