How to Arrive to Paracas and Pisco City

 

Where is Peru?: At 1'285,220 sq. Km, Peru is the third-largest country in South America, it limits to the north with Ecuador, to the northeast with Colombia, to the east with Brazil, to the southeast with Bolivia, to the south with Chile and to the west with the Pacific Ocean.

 

Travel to Peru by air

International airlines operate scheduled flights to Peru's Jorge Chávez International Airport, located in Lima - Peru.

 

  • From New York - Newark, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Mexico and Toronto exist direct flights to Lima.
  • From Europe exist direct flights to Lima from Madrid, Paris and Amsterdam.
  • Peru has direct flights from the main cities in Latin America as Bogota, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Guayaquil, La Habana, La Paz, Mexico, Panama, Quito, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Sao Paulo, San Jose de Costa Rica, Santo Domingo.
  • Flights from Asia or Oceania to Peru, connection by USA or Europe.

 

Jorge Chávez Airport (LIM) in Lima is the main gate for international flights and it's the main hub to local flights connections.


 

How to arrive to Paracas and Pisco City?


Normally by bus departing from Lima and travel about 152 miles (245 Km). The trip is carried out through the South Pan-American Highway until the deviation to Pisco - Paracas.

 

Terrestrial Way

Paracas and Pisco are connected with South Pan American Highway, and have direct bus services from Lima (245 Km / 152 miles), Ica (75 Km. / 46.6 miles) and Nazca (205 Km. / 127.4 miles). Some buses arrive to Pisco and anothers to Paracas. Paracas is located at 9.3 miles (15 Km) south of Pisco. From Nazca you can continue the bus trip to Arequipa or Cuzco.

 

Tours in Paracas

Some of our tours include transport to Paracas (bus or private car) and the organized visits in Paracas and its surroundings as Ballestas Islands. These tours can also be combined with the visit to the Nazca and overflight Nazca Lines and / or to the city of Ica.

 

By Air

There are an airport, located between Pisco and Paracas; Air Force Base. The airport has no regular flights, is used only for companies that overflight the Nazca Lines.

 

Travel to Paracas by Sea

Some shipping lines offer regular sailings to Paracas. Some cruises also include Paracas in their itineraries. The cruises disembark in Port San Martín, located in the peninsula of Paracas, northwest of Paracas Town.

Paracas has all the modern means of communication in telephony, mail, television, cable television, and Internet. These services are usually given by the hotels, and in some public places in the town of Pisco and Paracas.
