PARAGLIDING AND HANG GLIDING

SURFING

Waves all year long. The Peruvian coastline is bathed by Pacific waves all year long. In the coast of Lima are the southern beaches, great surf beaches are Punta Rocas, site of one World Qualifying Series surfing tournament, Pico Alto, whose waves are compared to those in Hawaii, Punta Hermosa, Señoritas and Caballeros.

 

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Biking and Downhill. Traveling the routes of the past. Part of the attraction to mountain biking through Peru is the opportunity to discover ancient Incan and pre-Incan trails, visit archeological sites and picturesque villages, as well as to ride through different ecological tiers in just a few hours. There is one route, starting in the town of Olleros, south of Lima, where you can descend 3,600 meters (11,808 feet) in a ride that is just 70 kilometers (113 miles) long. Pachacámac.

 

TREKKING

Peru and Lima are a true hikers' paradise. Practically all of the sierra, including valleys, plateaus and mountain ranges include trekking circuits of various degrees of difficulty. However, only a few have been "discovered" as commercial trekking routes. The recommended places are in protected natural areas of Lima and the Andean zone of Lima.

 

BIRDWATCHING IN LIMA

The department of Lima has several protected natural areas where you can find endemic birds of Peru and migratory birds. Lima offers many scenarios as coast, marshes, deserts and Andean zone as Santa Eulalia Canyon where the condors are flying. Peru Bird-Watching.
